What is Sigma Boomerang Fund？

Sigma Boomerang Fund (SBF) is the Irish Hedge Fund and pursuits“long-term stable return”based on the Sigma Boomerang Tactical Trading (SBT). The Fund invests in Major Japanese stocks listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TOPIX).

SBT is a kind of Long-Short Trading which is popular among hedge funds , but is executed by the formulated trading rules and restrictions statistically developed by Sigma Base Capital in order to maximize return and to minimize risk at the same time.

Net exposure or Long-short bias of the Fund will be controlled neutral or slightly bullish at all times. Leverage applicable to the Fund will be as low level as from 1.0 (=unleveraged) to 3.0 times the latest available Net Asset Value (NAV) of the Fund.

Mr. Phillip Glanville Oxnam, is a graduate of the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in the U.S.A., and Webster University in Geneva. He holds degrees in management, marketing, and economics with a concentration on analytical finance relation to company performance and investment valuation. He was responsible for the acquisition, completion, and integration of Emett & Chandler Inc., a California-based insurance broker, into the Jardine Matheson Group, which has since been publicly listed in London as Jardine Insurance Brokers plc. In his last employment with the Bordier & Cie, he was responsible for the Bank's investments into the U.S.A. and U.K. markets, and achieved investment returns of 30% per annum during his tenure.
In 2000 he established GS Management S.A. in Geneva specializing in corporate finance between the U.S.A. Europe and S.E. Asia. This includes mergers and acquisition, company finance and investment advisory services as well as support services to Palladium Capital Trust Limited (Nevis).
During 2013 and in light of the paradigm change in the structure and operation of the local trust business he assisted with the establishment of Palladium Trustees S.A. a Swiss registered trust company. Palladium provide professional trust services to a broad range of clients around the globe.
Mr. Phillip Glanville Oxnam has been a regular visitor to Japan and Tokyo and is a strong supporter of our work at Sigma Base Capital.

Masatoshi Shimizu, is a graduate of the Hitotsubashi University in Japan, he holds degrees in finance, management, and economics.
He began his career as a banker with The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB) . He has been involved in corporate finance and trading of FX, Equity and Derivatives as well as looking after Greenwich Capital Markets Co., Ltd. (GCM) in Connecticut.
In 1990, he resigned LTCB and established Sigma Base Capital Co., Ltd. (SBCC) specializing in the Education of the theory and practice in Finance. In addition, SBCC began the Investment Advisory business in 2013.

Masaharu Kuhara, is a graduate of the Keio University in Japan, he holds degrees in finance, management, and economics. He also graduated from University of California, Berkeley.

He began his career as a banker with The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB) . He has been involved in Corporate Finance, Structured Finance as well as looking after Greenwich Capital Markets Co., Ltd. (GCM) in Connecticut. He was the Manager of LTCB Chicago Branch.

After that, he became a professor of Ritsumeikan University, Syowa University, DePaul University（Chicago） and Singapore University.

 

Naoya Tabuchi：Fellow of Sigma Base Capital Co., Ltd.

Naoya Tabuchi, is a graduate of Hitotsubashi University in Japan, he holds degrees in finance, management, and economics.

He began his career as a banker with The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB) . He has been involved in Derivatives at the Head Office, and later, at LTCB International (London). After that, he engaged in the Fund Management at Mitsubishi UFJ Investment. He established Militus Financial consulting Co., Ltd in 2000,

Masaru Tamaki：Fellow & Auditor of Sigma Base Capital Co., Ltd.  

Masaru Tamaki,　is a graduate of Hitotsubashi University in Japan, he holds degrees in finance, management, and economics.

He began his career as a banker with The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB) . He has been involved in trading of JGB,　Equity,　FX and Derivatives . He was the Manager of LTCB New York Branch. After that, he engaged in the Senior Managing Director of LTCB Asset Management and LTCB-UBS Brinson Asset Management. He also became a Professor of Tamagawa University.  He became the Auditor of Sigma Base Capital Asset Management Co., Ltd. in 2017. C.M.A.

Tsutomu Wakiya, is a graduate of Hitotsubashi University in Japan, he holds degrees in finance, management, and economics.

He began his career as a banker with The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB) . He has been involved in trading Equity, FX and Derivatives . He was the Manager of LTCB Seoul Branch. He became the Auditor of Sigma Base Capital Asset Management Co., Ltd. in 2017.
